Our staff have a wealth of experience in the world of sailing. They are not just teachers, but real sailors, who live sailing in the fullest sense, as a real lifestyle. They are people who have experienced the magic of wind and water through ocean crossings, regattas in the most beautiful locations in Italy and the world, and cruises in crystal-clear seas. It is difficult to sum up their decades of experience in just a few lines.
Qualifications: Level 1 FIV dinghy and offshore instructor; FIV expert sailor; VDWS International dinghy and catamaran instructor; VDWS School Manager; full sailing and motorboat certificates.
Marco also has an impressive career as a competitive sailor. He has won numerous awards, including: three Laser World Championships, one Laser European Championship, several Italian Championships. He has taken part and often been a winner in prestigious sailing events, including: Barcolana, Trofeo Gorla, Centomiglia del Garda, and the Italian Match Race Championship.
As for his career as a skipper, Marco has sailed in Croatia and Greece for several seasons and has done an Atlantic crossing on a Lagoon 620 catamaran.
Qualifications: FIV trainer (coordinator of Zone Instructor Courses); part of the training team for instructors for yachts and monotypes, dinghies and kitesurfing; FIV sailing expert; full sailing and motorboat certificates.
Giovanna began her sailing career in the 1980s, competing, often with success, in famous sailing events: Trofeo Gorla and Centomiglia del Garda, to name just two.
She has also taken part as a skipper, in all-female crews, in the most demanding offshore races: Cinquecento per Due, Rimini Corfù Rimini, Adria’s Cup, Rimini Malta Rimini, Regata delle Colonne and many others. Finally, after 4 years of winter Atlantic crossings, she achieved her lifetime dream by successfully taking part in the Round the World Rally Europa 92.
However, her real passion and lifelong commitment has always been education, which has led her to achieve her greatest ambition: of being surrounded by young people she has trained to sail, who have at times become even better than their teacher.
Qualifications: FIV Dinghy and Offshore Sailing Instructor, FIV Expert Sailor, CONI Sports Director, full sailing licence. National champion in various sailing categories, including Dolphin 81, Ufo OD, Melges 24 and Asso 99.
Full sailing and motorboat licence. Raffaele has thirty years of experience in regattas and competes with his own Ufo 22 and a Gran Soleil 37.
As a skipper he has sailed for several seasons in the Adriatic, on the Croatian coast and Ionian Greece, in the Ligurian Sea, the French Riviera, Corsica and the Tuscan archipelago.
